It was about my 8th time visiting Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. Over the years , the city captured attention many Muslim travelers from all over the world. Besides the beautiful scenaries, the modern culture, history to some of the world class amusement park, Seoul has many things to offer.
I love Seoul because i considered it is muslim friendly place to visit.
National centre mosque in Itaewon is very popular among local drama production which took Seoul as the location. You should visit and perform your pray there at least once during your trip. Friday prayers will be the best because it is like a weekly gathering for Muslims across the world to greet each other in Seoul.
If you are going for convention which take place in Coex Convention centre near Samseong WTC subway station, the Coex Mall provide you with a very comfortable prayer room
.
While waiting for your flights back home, there are few muslim prayer room provided in Incheon airport itself. This one is near Cathay Pacific lounge at the airport.
Itaewon is the place you have to go for Muslim meals. There is also a halal grilled lamb in Yeoksam but since i was not into lamb, so i did not go there. For Korean dish which are halal , i had tried Eid Restaurant and Makan Halal Restaurant. These 2 are considered cheaper than the rest for Korean muslim food in Itaewon. They even hire Malaysian students to work with them as part time so you can speak Bahasa Melayu as well...
