X45.... Way To Get Fitter In Faster Way ?? Here Comes The Experiment :)

I was choosen among 10 bloggers residing in Sabah to share the experience of X45, a new strategy to get fitter in faster way. All excited to see the end result, i ll be enrolled in this all-exclusive bloggers invite for a week. It will be slightly different from my gym routine of running 5 km on the threadmill and lifting up weights to boost up my muscle size, X45 is deemed to have more hollistic in its approach . Something new and something fresh and i am eagerly waiting to try it out.

I am a definite fitness freak ! I do marathon, sports, hiking and cycling and wish i can go extra miles in obtaining higher degree of fitness level.

I was looking for a greener path of life in this new vicinity. Amazed with the natural elements in Borneo, i set green colour as one of my main home colours.

Green gives such a refreshing feeling at home.

Sunday's visit to Gaya Street Market creates a new hobby in me that i could never imagine i am so much into it :)

Go green too in my washroom :)

The plants actually give oxygen to refresh home and they act as nice decor too....

I do hope life is always greener for me here and i really fell in love with this new hobby :)

When all that matter is SPEED, when you desire another episode of adrenalin rush, when you need focus and determination, then you should go for go-kart ! No doubt that this motoring sport is pretty expensive to spend your penny on but the experience is truly amazing. I was drenched in sweat as i finished the race. For a reminder, safety always comes first. Do it fast and do it safe :)

A New Chapter Of My Life

" Boleh Bah kalo ko " ... it is everyday magic word uttered by Sabahan people and even transformed into some ethnic music lyric. Maybe that magic spell makes some expats decline to leave this Borneo land and stay here forever. I made my footsteps to begin my new life, my new chapter and my new focus of work. There are things should be left forgotten., but i did pack few memorable things either i received as a present or a numeration.... yeah...they were priceless !!!

Been here already 3 weeks, i am close to be "reborn" . I felt something this beautiful land has to offer me , rejuvenating me in comfort and letting my previous miserable life vanquished by itself. Sabahan people are very kind and even my Semenanjung friends who live here adapting themselves to that kindness. For a second , this is a real retreat that one can never expect to get apart from Sabah :)

I hope i ll find total happiness here . My sincere thanks to my Semenanjung alliance here for picking me up at the airport , being hostile and let me borrow their car initially, my KL friend who originally from Luyang who got me my current place, my Sabahan friends, colleagues here and also to my KL friends who gave encouragement and checked wether i am fine here.... "Budi yang baik dikenang jua"...

INDONESIAN SINETRON...

I have to admit i am addicted to this Indonesian "sinetron" which is aired over TV9 and the story plots never end eventhough it already reached more than 150 episodes..wow...that sounds unusual ..ha ha. but yet the story is still exaggerating !

"Cinta And Anugerah" is a story about first love and the twist and turn , the betrayal, temporary dissapearance, revenge, family dispute and of course , star-studded kind of telenovela. At least , the sinetron keeps my family glued to the channel having our evening tea while watching it together.

Futhermore, what so special besides all the Indonesian stars is that, 2 Malaysian actors act in it..none other than the popular , Ashraff Sinclair aka Mr. Bunga Citra Lestari and Keith Foo, Malaysian chinese who speaks fluent Indonesian languange.

BEIJING CHANGED !!

I managed to deviate from year end work crises to visit the capital of Republic of China and if it wasn't for an important meeting , i had no business to be here once again. My pioneer visit was almost 15 years ago and it was courtesy or a present from my parents for getting good SPM results and i realized that the city changed. There was no longer the non-hygienic toilet "hole" !!!

The transport system has developed extensively . Cheap comfy taxis , readily avaible buses and not forgetting the subway which i thought was cool and ahead of ours back in KL. No wonder the millions of bicycles across the streets has dissapeared from the scene.

It was a very short trip and just before flying back to KL, i paid the Forbidden City a visit. Frankly speaking, i will definitely be back here soon as i love China, chinese people and chinese food and i hope the younger generation learn more of world "lingua franca" to avoid miscommunications :)

AS 2010 DESCENDS, 2011 IS ANOTHER CHALLENGE

It is another year end. New resolutions will commence and the challenges in life continue. Things happened over a year period , leaving their momentum for everyone to kick-start the opening of 2011 at a different pace. "Sweet hello and sad goodbye" is a trademark to welcome the new year and as we know it, we age ourselves into another year of self-revolution. Some clueless people will keep on asking why time moves so fast without any mercy for them to correct mistakes made !

ANYWAY ... my 2011 dreams and resolutions are :

1) To start fresh in a fresh environment of the beautiful Kota Kinabalu in cardiology training for my subspeciality and expect myself to be busy than in the year of 2010 !

2) Refrain myself from getting acquinted to anyone and stay focus on my career prospect.

3) Try to appreciate people who do appreciate me.

4) To get more physically fit and lose some more weight.

5) To buy a house and own a property .

I can only manage to plan but there is always a glass or wall that i can break through in order to anticipate what 2011 will bring me...... HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL ....May 2011 be a good year for everyone..especially to those i really care :)

There are 7 natural wonders of the world and i finally came to one ! Elated , amazed and felt gratitude were my mixed feelings as i stepped onto this beautiful landscape...THE GRAND CANYON . It is best to get tour bus from Las Vegas or Southern California rather than to drive along the deserted roads before one finally reach this magnificent spot.

The SKYWALK which is made by high quality glass is definitely a must try . Some agoraphobics may find it a difficult obstacle but to be able to finish and walk onto the glass is a joyful moment one can ever experience !

At least before getting old, i can finish the other 6 pit-stops namely the Aurorea Borealis, Paracutin, Victoria Falls, Great Barrier Reef, Harbor of Rio De Janeiro and Mount Everest. ..ha ha ha sounds very tough but the tough gets everyone going :)

VIVA LAS VEGAS

I am still in Las Vegas, Nevada when i penned down this entry. Being labelled as the high class city of entertainment of the world, people from all world continents come for gambling, holiday, live shows and also some stripper shows. I am amazed with the set-up, cleanliness and the sky-scrapping casino hotels. I stayed in MGM Grand which turn green when the nights fall.

" The Strip " is a long main road which houses main attractions in Vegas. I love the city and to view the Roman architecture of Caesar's Palace is such a great oppurtunity. As i stroll along the lake in front of The Bellagio, i feel refresh . Such happiness never come that often and i am truly blessed. Just a bit different from the norm, people are everywhere with their funny and horror outfits for The halloween.

I will definitely be back here one day , hopefully this time i get to spend with someone that I loved...yeah just the two of us.... because the ambience of Las Vegas makes two getting closer .

Finally, i quote most popular phrase about Las Vegas ...." Whatever Happen In Vegas, Stay In Vegas !! "

Road Safety Or Fashion Savvy

I was in Ho Chin Minh in last August 2010 for a conference . This " saigon" is famous for its war remnants and people loves to shop there for the good bargain. One of the identity of this city is the countless motorbikes on the road at all times that prevents the naive tourists from crossing the road. My Vietnamese friend gave me a ride in his motorbike and it was an enjoyable experience and yet gave me palpitation too !!!.

Basically, the motorbikes here are the king of the road. Even the helmets are beautifully decorated and designed without any safety aspect . I bet all this helmets will not pass through our JPJ approval !!!....

The third installment of Twillight saga is becoming more popular as the story continues to embark the rival between the vampires and the werewolves . The adaptation from Stephenie Meyer's tale leaves huge impact to movie industry.

After leaving the cinema, i just could not forget the dialogue by Jacob Black and still until today, very resistant to forget...

" When you imprint into someone, that someone is the centre of your gravity, you 'll do everything u can for that someone to be happy !" .......

Bali Again And Why ???

I took time off to visit Bali again recently and well, this is not the story about me but this is about a new Malaysian friend i met during my recent visit to this tropical island. He came down to Bali 4 to 5 times in a year and he knows very well the Bali landmarks and tourist location and this time , he flew for free attending a fully sponsored friend's wedding with beach theme concept. If not for this special celebration , he definitely be back to Bali at that frequent interval anyway.

I did ask him WHY BALI AGAIN ? and AGAIN ? . Aren't u feel bored ????

He replied to me with a saddened note :

" We used to walk together by the beach, holding hands and Bali was where we spent our time knowing each other closely, BAli was the place where we witnessed the beautiful sunset ever of Tanah LOt, BAli was where we smiled seeing the dolphins in Lovina, BAli was where we serenade our love in the quiet and tranquil Ubud..... and eventhough we are no longer together, being in Bali is another way of HOPE that things can reconcile between us , i can feel the presence !! "

I WAS TOUNGE-TIED , words of wisdom from a loyal person ,and before we departed after enjoying the delicious Indonesian style nasi goreng , I said to him..." there will be another person who will come and knock on your door and say helllo and open up your heart again and you just have to wait and if Bali is so special to you, keep coming back here !!"

From that time on, i know that we are going to be good buddy when we are back to Malaysia , sharing stories about life and motivating each other. Frankly speaking, i had a deja-vu that we have known each other for more than 10 years...ha ha

I bought the three albums of last year's 3 American Idol contestants debut album namely Kris Allen , Adam Lambert and Alison Iraheta but the trumphiant Kris is definitely the best among the three. He was in town recently for an autograph session in Mid Valley Megamall plus he threw a showcase for the ASTRO subscribers.. I missed to be part of the event. Here comes February , the month with the least number of days and the month that some people get little "smoochie" about love. Chinese New Year coincides with Valentine for this year. I just love to recommend this multiple love stories packed into one , studded with the A List actors. IT MUST HAVE BEEN GOOD to watch this drama on the big screen with mixed emotion because the stories make one laugh and cry.

For the one who is madly deeply in love and where some cinemas available, this is the best movie where you can book the lovely limited couple seats in GSC and enjoy the movie..

Berbentuk vesikel yang secara tipikalnya dari bahgaian atas badan dan sekitar kepala dan merebak ke seluruh badan yang lain. Rawatan adalah ubat anti-viral bernama Acyclovir (Zovirax)

Kes komplikasi Chicken Pox boleh membawa maut dan 3 komplikasi yang disebut boleh menyebabkan prognosis yang teruk adalah :

1) HEPATITIS AKUT
2) VARICELLA PNEUMONIA

FACEBOOK has done wonders in reconnecting people... This is a picture taken merely 18 years ago when i were in high school. Cikgu Azizah is the first teacher i added as my FB friends and almost all of them in this down to memory lane picture are now my FB friends.

Nobody can predict what life ahead waiting for us when we grow up. Some succeded like a true champion while some missed every chances in life.

To me.,.i evolved and designed my life to be like what i want it to be.... and it is a happy moment to realize that DREAMS are not impossible to fulfill if we work it out and plan properly..sooner or later it will be OURS !!

Acoustica In My Brain With Sound In My Ear

A patient was referred to my neurology clinic by a very junior emergency doctor who had made an impression of TIA (transient ischaemic attack) involving veterobasillar insufficiency. On further questioning, he had complained of unsteady gait, seeing "double" when looking to the left and slight reduction in hearing abilities. He had lateral rectus palsy (6th cranial nerve) and he manifested left cerebellar signs. Even without an MRI scan , i already can predict this is a problem with lesion in cerebello-pontine.

I was called by a radiologist 3 days later to inform my already expected findings of this benign tumour called ACOUSTIC NEUROMA.,.. or the other name for it...VESTIBULAR SCHWANNOMA. .. A semi-urgent referrral to Penang GH for neurosurgical intervention was made then.

This tumour is associated with Neurofibromatosis Type II.

To junior doctors, be precise in history taking and physical examination to get a proper diagnosis , after all our job acquired us to do so...

Yasmin's The Very Last Offering...

Yasmin left the industry with good remarks on her creative art direction and this film is supposed to be the last one she directed before she succumbed to massive stroke. I managed to catch the sneak preview in GSC Gurney Plaza, Penang recently and yeah ... the cynical Malaysian jokes that we were all been raised up with , were everywhere through out the entire 1 1/2 hour show.

Muallaf or being called the Sabians, potrayed religious issues which every religion teaches us to be a good person but this film did not comparatively discuss the details of it. Ipoh town was Yasmin's personal favourite when it comes to movie location.

After watching the film, it seemed that this film was simply forgetable...and only 10 peoples watching it on that Sunday and to my surprise ,,, i was the only Malay...mmmm.

2 Talented A's

It took ages to be back here to pen down something in my blog which remained quiscent for sometimes..Good news...I am back. Coping with abundant works and responsibilities, travelling and busy schedule are probably the reasons why .

I choose to review this 2 albums by this 2 young but talented musicians. They compose their own song, collaborated with high profile names in music industry and they have awesome vocal performance. The 2 A's are Alif Satar and Aizat.

I like their genre of music and i think they can go far in the industry ! Way to go boys !

One fine day, James walked into a kopitiam meeting his friends wearing his favourite green colour t-shirt which picture of a key printed near the chest area. He definitely looked good in his favourite t-shirt, at least to his thinking...ha ha. He greeted the minimal crowd and waived at them.

Friend 1 said jokingly :

" Can i have the key on your chest ? "

James :

" No, you can't , because this is the only key to my heart "

Friend 2 :

" Then ...who owns that key ??"

James :

" To be frank, i don't really know where is the key now. I gave it to someoneand i don't know wether it is well-kept. I do really hope that the key holder return on one fine day and unlock this chain around me or else i wish that i will never ever find the key again AT ALL "

And all of his friends were like ...." WHOAAAAAHHHH ! "

Papedom from Papadom....

This movie bagged this year Best Picture in Malaysian Film Festival beating the late Yasmin's Talentime. It took nearly a year to be showed in the big screens from it's actual scheduled screening. I went to watch it simply because of its award-winning status but even with hilarious scenes to keep one until the end, Papadom was very forgettable.

Papadom weaknesses :

1. Afdlin's acting performance wasn't up to my expectation...while Liyana's role outshine others.
Other supporting roles in the movie did not help much

2. The idea of putting up BORIA performance at the beginning and the end turned to be very
irritating plus the effiminate gestures of all the performers.

3. Very ordinary storyline and it is like " u watch , u laugh and u forget "!

If PAPADOM was honoured Best Picture, i think Malaysia film industry really need new fresh ideas and good directing skills..

I was in Kota Kinabalu Shangri-La Tanjung Aru last weekend for this Lipid Talk courtesy of conjoint drug company. The venue was perfect for a weekend getaway...thanks to the sponsor.

Everyone knows well this landmark of Langkawi Island. Eagles are from bird species that potentially dangerous to other animals in the island. I am in Langkawi again for a week coverage there and maybe it is post raya time, the usually hectic coverage seems to be pretty relaxing . Why did i choose to write something here about this overrated tourist attraction ? He he he simply because the date of its official launch by our PM then, Tun Mahathir was my birthdate...
It is nice when i have extra money , i can book this place to celebrate the day i was born... he he...I guess nothing wrong to be ambitious ...

RENEWING FRIENDSHIPS IN AIDILFITRI MOOD.....Ocean Glow

It has been 15 years for most of us since we last met as we left our high school to pursue our dreams. Things changed and maturity has evolved our life to a better person. It was nearly a quarter of average life of a living person . It was Budiman's idea to organize this much anticipated event since last year but i was busy studying for my master programme to help him out with the plan . It was the perfect time to do it since i am back to nothern state now. Held in Ocean Glow just by the Kuala Perlis seaview area... the event attended by almost 75 people and was a complete success ... Thanks everyone for attending and re-living the DERMA spirit and renewing the friendships...

We took about a mere 2 months' time to prepare and invite all of ex-Dermarian to come together and enjoy this one. Since all the AJK's came from all parts of Malaysia, we ended up meeting, discussing and collecting money totally ONLINE... namely Facebook !

I was the chairman and Budiman incharged of door gifts and invitation, Farah Pawanteh as emcee and treasurer, Ilyana as our secretary, Anuar as event's planner and gift exchange, Yukhairi (photography) and Sarimah (entertainment)

I met Nizam after so long and he appeared totally shocked to see me with my current weight (i was very fat during high school)...and also Yusmanizam who came back from Manchester for Raya and exclusively for the event. Thanks!

Are We Ready For 2nd Wave ??

I spent my last weekend attending this event organised by Malaysian Medical Association, took place in Renaissance Hotel. A good turn up from the participants and the opening ceremony was done by our Health Minister. This was supposed to be the first conference to involve the general practioners, health sites and KKM with regards to H1N1 issue.

The main agenda was to educate everyone with the current situation of the virus , the expectation of second wave of the pandemic and the multiple vaccine developement. It is my responsibilty to write something here for the benefit of all.

WE ARE NOT OVER YET ! Here are some of the Q and A that i would love to highlight :

1. When do we anticipate the 2nd wave ? What is the importance ?

Following a pandemic, 2nd wave is expected to happen after 6 months following 1st wave. By an estimation from WHO, if we do not do anything to prepare and based on our death rate now, if 2nd wave hits us badly, thousands will die. It is expected beginning in winter or the rainy season in temperate countries ( do you notice the rainy season is about to start ????)

2. How about the detection of the H1N1 ?

The best will be Nasal swab, throat swab and analyzed by RT-PCR . The kit for Rapid Test
varied in its accuracy ranging from a mere 20 % to 80 %

3. When do the vaccine come to our shore ?

It is expected that we 'll get the vaccine by the end of the year. It has been postulated that America has assigned 90 % of the production , followed by France . and the remaining to other countries. One of the known complication is Gullain Barre Syndrome.

4. Is it a deadly virus ??

Most of the cases are mild and self-limiting... almost 99 % recovered with or without treatment.

5. What is the treatment ?

2 options. Tamiflu (oseltamivir) is an oral tablet 75 mg twice daily for 5 days. Even the GP's sell it at RM80 the cheapest now. Tamiflu resistance already been reported . ANother option is Relenza (Zanamivir) in an inhaler form (not for asthmatic patient)

I met with my ex-HUKM colleagues. One of them has already become infectious disease consultant. Congrats ! It is time for me too to get my consultantship too.. he he. A road tour in
Kedah state to complete before Raya and other continous plan for H1N1 made my life busier.

I just think that KKM still fail (big time !!) to value us with our hard work and that brings a GOODBYE to KKM from the brilliant doctors sometimes.

If you pay a visit to the new Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah , as you walk on the lobby , you will see a glass window office-like area on the first floor.... which is better known as Pejabat Pakar. This is my desk actually.... well-equipped with a computer with high-speed internet, roster for specialist on call , district hospital covering and AIMST medical students teaching stick on to the board, files and papers, student's write-ups and my name stamp. Security card is needed to make an access to this place.

This is actually Medical department section. Head of departments have their own huge room. I never "lepak" here since abundant works need to be done as i sit on my confortable chair.. mmmm....like it never end ... but i am happy to be in this working environment

DERMARIAN RE-UNION AFTER 15 YEARS...

I am delighted for this event to happen. It is a remark of our 15 years being away from our beloved secondary school....Sek . Men . Derma. I was the head prefect a.k.a head of the student committe at that time. With the helping hands from Budiman (his ideas anyway), Ilyana Sudani, Farah Pawanteh (sounds familiar ?) , Sarimah , Yukhairi and others... we set up a committe for this much anticipated event.

The venue will be in this area near the beach in Kuala Perlis which popularly known as OCEAN GLOW... and almost 100 will attend it including their spouses and children. This is a sneak preview of the event's venue.

One has to walk on the small bridge (300 m) to reach to place...

Below are the BBQ buffet menu that we plan to have. It will be so much fun as activities are lined up for the guests. As usual, i was given the honour to once again , give the opening speech . Thanks to all the AJK's for their brilliant commitment....... and i am looking forward to meet up with all of my school friends once again ! Somehow i am saddened by DERMA now because they are no longer champion in every aspects like we used to.

I made my way to KL to return my graduation robe and at the same time , spending time for iftar with my KL friends and colleagues from HUKM. Since i left KL, there were lots of thing to catch up with. Above picture showed the table with foods which at the end, we could hardly find anymore spaces to accomodate our plenty of foods...mmm ... thanks to `J' for inviting...wow...very nice place !

15 of August 2009 marked the day i was last involved in a graduation. Being one of the 14 doctors in my unit to receive the scroll of Masters in Internal Medicine. About a quarter of audience were in their mask due to H1N1 pandemic.

To add more memory to this special day , one of the senior lecturer of mine was honoured Professor Emeritus.. Her speech was truly inspirational and she definitely deserved a salute.

Her experience in making a wise decision when i did my training under her was simply phenomenal. Congrats to you Datin Norella CT Kong. It was a privillege to have you as our teacher.

Singapore After Last 4 Years Visit

It has been years since my last visit to Singapore . I have many friends in this LION city that i can hop at their place anytime for accomodation purpose but yeah, the currency and the busy routine life there somehow ruin my intention to pay them a visit.

well...finally i ended up being here again for a TECOS meeting, a study trial to be conducted for a period of 5 years. Few centres in Malaysia are accepted including the hospital i am practising now. It was a good meet up and discussion between delegates from other Asian countries the the heading team from UK and US.

Singapore has change a lot but better. The road system is enhanced and the cleanliness of the city centre is superb. The people are well-groomed and the facilities are at their tip-top condition. I started to love this city again and hopefully i will come back for more.....i had some thinking about migrating here one day once i get myself established in my career profile..

SINGAPORE.....keep it up....you make neighbouring cities kinda jealous ! ha ha

When Women On Their Bended Knees

During my recent visit to Penang (again??... yeah) for a neurology course, I managed to catch this much anticipated movie at the GSC in the largest Penang Mall, Queensbay. I know that this romantic comedy flick will be a major hit because Anne Fletcher directed it, Sandra Bullock came back to comedy genre and Ryan Reynolds is a huge star in the making.

A great laughter with a great deal of family value. Stunning performance from both Sandra and Ryan. They fell in love in 3 days which i think the magnificent Alaskan scenary had done something to contribute. It showed us that the more you learn about somebody, the characters and their emotions as well as their family background, the HATE can drastically change to the LOVE..

I bet some viewers had their touching moments at the movie climax when Margaret decided to reveal the truth at their wedding ceremony.. even a tough guy can sob !! ha ha

A recommended movie to be watched with your loved ones ! and i wish i can be just like Andrew Paxton.... rich, handsome, and the best part is to have a woman on her bended knees to propose...ha ha a!

Being not far from home, I was looking at the old photos from home collection the other day, trying to gain some memories of my past. I realized that i only have few limited photos of myself as a toddler. The few photos were at their lowest quality and turned blur. My parents were not into picture-taking as well.

This is not me of course, but i somehow look exactly like my sister's little son, Hanzalah, whose nickname is Hans. I decided to take plenty of photos of him because i wanted him when he grows up, being someone famous, someone educated and someone far better than me (i hope), he will not lose the memories of his childhood era.

He is just like me....kinda make me remember my childhood dreams......i wish he will follow the the right path to be SOMEBODY...not just anybody..

H1N1 yang menular seluruh dunia bagaikan menyentap semua bertindak , bagai reflex yang sudah hyper. Alhamdulilah , setakat ini tiada kes kematian H1N1 di dalam negara. Seluruh tenaga pekerja kesihatan semacam exhausted dengan wabak ini, membendung dan merawat kes kes positif. Sekarang kita telah memasuki fasa mitigasi. Apa tu ??

Mitigasi adalah fasa kita membendung komplikasi kerana H1N1 is everywhere in our community. Mengikut kenyataan akhbar 10 JUlai oleh KKM dan diperkukuhkan dengan pelaksanaan, kes kes di rawat kini sebagai seasonal flu dimana kes kes yang ditahan di wad adalah kes moderate to severe sahaja dan mereka ini sahaja diambil throat swab.

Yang pentingnya pesakit ada ILI (Influenza-like-illness) symptoms. Pengalaman terlibat dalam kawalan wabak dan jugak tempoh mitgasi memang memenatkan, menjadi hotline seluruh negeri bertanya tentang protokol.. memang penat tapi exciting !! Etika batuk yang baik juga adalah penting ..

Clinical assessment tool for moderate to severe influenza:

Patients with ILI and any of the following parameters should be considered for admission to the of nearest designated hospital :

Respiratory impairment: any of the following
Tachypnoea, respiratory rate > 24/min
Inability to complete sentence in one breath
Use of accessory muscles of respiration, supraclavicular recession
Oxygen saturation < 92% on pulse oximetry

Decreased effort tolerance since onset of ILI
Respiratory exhaustion
Chest pains

Evidence of clinical dehydration or clinical shock
Systolic BP < 90mmHg and/or diastolic BP < 60mmHg
Capillary refill time > 2 seconds, reduced skin turgor

Altered Conscious level (esp. in extremes of age)
New confusion, striking agitation or seizures

Other clinical concerns:

5 Minutes To Work Place...I am settled

I finally decided to rent this friend's semi-D house for very affordable monthly payment. I was too tired to drive 2 hours everyday from Kangar to Alor Setar and returned home after work. Futhermore , this house is just 5 minutes drive away from the hospital i am currently attached. Works are increasing with the pandemic H1N1 ,meetings, administrative works and daily busy clinics but yeah...i am more focus and relaxed and happy here.

Every Thursday ..after work, our department usually head for badminton match ...just for fun and enjoy the game and release the work stress. It is good to to enhance our team work and i started to like this place so much that i feel i am going to apply my cardio subspeciality here and become a consultant and work here permanently.

As i opened up the front door of the house, this soothing and green atmosphere can be seen... i leave KL for some fresh air and new environment and i believe it is refreshing enough for a new start. And where can you get this house in KL for a very reasonable price...

A Modern Landmark In The Outskirt Of The Town

This is my new workplace... the new Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, a huge landmark of Alor Setar. It is surrounded by paddy fields and the design impressed me the first time i came here to report to my Head Of Department, Dato' Dr Radzi , one of Malaysia best gastroenterologist. He never changed since i last left the department 4 years ago with no dato' title at that time.

I was given responsibilty to be incharged of 1st class (including royal wards) and 2nd class patients. At first , i was quite stunned as these wards usually being taken care by the senior specialists but yeah,, i am always up to the challenge and besides clinical skills, the interpersonal and communication skills are deemed important. In addition, i had to be incharged of neurology clinic since this hospital does not have any neurologist at the moment.

Lige goes on and i started to enjoy my life here, being away from KL , the soothing green environment, nice boss and helpful working colleagues.

To keep myself fit too, i have 2 gyms in town that i am still considering to join one of them. i will tell about them later...

This entry is about my transfer back to my hometown. It is a transition of new responsibility in my career and new environment I have to face. I have been in Klang valley for nearly 10 years now since I started my matriculation in Bangi as the pioneer batch of a solid a year programme. I was posted in Mentakab in between where I learned to appreciate a district hospital and that solely because I was a huge fan of the Pahang born before petite singer , now the influential Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza.

A decade was a long period of time and I met new friends along the way and they added colours to my life and yeah… I had achieved so many things in life as well as I had lost things too but I guess how one comes out from the difficult challenges would result one to be tougher and wiser. Most of the time, I just follow the flow and by any chance grab any oppurtunity that comes.

It was hard to leave the routine of a KL-lite, the fast pace of everything and the wonderful people and friends behind. My decision was final to go back home and started anew. KL somehow made me lose my focus on what I pre-determine to do. The city lure sometimes made one lose their focus and that included me.

I am now in tiny little Kangar town , driving for 2 hours everyday for return trip to work in Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, the new modern state hospital . It is very calm atmosphere along the journey to workplace where the paddy fields lay side by side. It is pretty condusive for me to begin my new life here.

My mum once said to me i should be in KL because she believed i am a competitive person and loves challenges in this metropolitan city . My mum medical condition needs to be attended and i said to myself, it is time to be a good son since i am not a good lover, a precious thing that almost everyone search in life..

I believe that i have made a wise decision but i also believe that wherever i go, whichever land i step on, i ll be in some place where my heart belongs.

I am always an ardent fan of Agnes Monica since she launched her debut 6 years back. I am glad to promote her latest offering which hit our market recently. She has a star package and she can make everyone down to the groove with her fast numbers and sober to her ballads.

With more than half a decade in music scene, Agnes has emerged as natural performer who create "soul" to her music.

Talking about this album with a funky title, this hyperactive lady proves that she still hot in this industry. It is a testament of her courage to collaborate with new composers this time. The like of Andi Rianto, Tohpati and Valent were not in this album. Agnes herself composed 2 numbers in this album.

I would love to give 4.5 stars to this one simply because i can relate well to her music.

My favourite titles are Teruskanlah and RAPUH. Rapuh seemed to be the best and was beautifully written by Badai from the genius band of Kerispatih..... try listen this one and close your eyes... u definitely something deep, something different !!! He he

During a campaign about nature and saving the greens, Body Shop had launched this recycled paper bag which was enviromental-friendly and savvy. The concept mimicked the order of " Karma" ; what goes around comes around .

Can everything be recycled ? Do you really want everything come back to you ? Things i like i always wish it comes back in reconstructive forms and things i hate and contribute to my somnolence , i wish it never return....

Ouccchhh !!! Paintball....

After our exam results were out, we planned for a paintball challenge for the sake of post exam stress relief...ha ha... Car-pooling to this place in Taman Harmonis , Gombak ,KL, we reached there 30 minutes late than the stipulated time. While waiting for our dearest professor to join us, we performed our Zuhur prayers and later dressed for suitable outfit. Some chose to be commando like in their apparel.

We divided ourselves into 3 groups . This was my group "WEAPON X" consisting mainly all the medical registrars.

Here are some of the action i took from outside the battlefield. I did not dare to bring my precious DSLR inside because the high-velocity pallets (bullets) might hit my lense.

The markers.....you need saftey precaution to handle it so that you would not shoot your friends unintentionally.

For the first game, i took the role as a sniper.... and it wasn't easy because one has to be precise and accurate.

This was how the bruises after getting shot by your opponents.... ouccchhh painful and yet very interesting game that i will definitely say YES for the next challenge.

It was a good friend's idea to pay Petaling Street a visit . We met at the Old Town Cafe in Central Market and later cruised Petaling Street looking at the fake brand materials...Some resembles exactly like the original but the quality will not last longer.

Air mata kucing... is a must if one plans to be here...

Tourist were everywhere which made Petaling Street busy that evening even when it was raining later that day.

We left by night time and we bought nothing except than the nice AIR MATA KUCING..ha ha But it was a great and memorable activity anyway.

THESIS AND PART III EXAM

I am back in here writing and expressing after a month of silence. The major reason was to complete my dissertation for master programme and presented it in our viva. I managed to finish just about time and this is the hard cover of the study title.... yeah it is a cardiology thesis..since my interest in this field..

Result was OUT ..... and alhamdulilah... i passed the exam and TODAY .. 20th May 2009 i registered to ministry for gazzettement and now eagerly wait for posting. I wish i will be send back to Alor Setar Hospital but that will depend on the allocation.

Thanks to all friends and colleagues for motivation, help and coverage during the peak of my stress .. I am glad to know all of you

I took this picture using my HTC camera while running a test for my thesis as part of my dissertation in master programme . This is actually a new platelet function analyzer used to measure and monitor ADP and ASP test in acute coronary syndromes and myocardial infarction following clopidogrel loading dose administration.

Need to keep my full energy to complete this for a viva presentation in May and i realized that every minutes count . I 'll be back after that and hopefully with some good news too.. See u all in a month's time and wish me luck. AMIN ...

On last Friday night with Mahkota Ballroom in Istana Hotel , i paved my way going through a massive Friday eve traffic jam to attend this exclusive accoustic showcase by Anggun. The crowd came in and dressed in their best.

This event was in conjuction with the release of Anggun new English album here ...ELEVATION.. brought by Metadome Sdn Bhd which the GM, Kak Aida Hussin cordially invited me and my friend , Nizam to this spectacular show. We were placed at the front 3 rows so i just could snap the pictures from my seat using my 200 m lense..and this is the result..ha ha. Again, our seats was in celebrity section..ha ha along with famous people and entertainers..

Amy of Search is a fan Anggun and he reckoned Anggun nice vocal tone is the key of Anggun success..

My seat was next to this ex-newscaster, Sharifah Shawati....nice meeting you Shawati.. She looked stunning that nite with that green dress... beautiful !

Linda Onn came with a very elegant dress and she looked slim ...very slim in fact ! Among other celeberities seen that night including Datuk Kayveas, Jovian Rayke Mandagie, Nadia AF, Iz (OIAM), Cikgu Siti Hajar (of AF), Saerah , Farahdiya (of SpaQ tv series), Nora and Johan Nawawi and many many more.

Anggun performed 5 numbers from her new album and also previous album. She belted out Yang Aku Tunggu, Snow On The Sahara and Crazy and collaborated with Nurul and Imran Ajmain on the last song which happened to be my favourite , MANTRA (or Saviour in English version).MANTRA was the theme song for The Transporter 2.

Imran Ajmain did the opening act by performing his new single (happened to be a blogger's favourite song too)....Selamat Ulang tahun Sayang...

I was on leave on last Tuesday when i remembered about an event brought by Metadome Sdn Bhd, a company in entertainment event management which is partly owned by few Malay geniuses who had became my friends for few years now. It was a press conference for Indonesian born singer who has created waves in music industry world-wide..yeah none other that the EXOTIC Anggun C . Sasmi.

Located in Istana Hotel, i had attended the 2 hours PC as a guest invite. Other attendees were mostly the reporters and people from the record label.

I have known Kak Aida Hussin (pic above) with her bubbly character when she was working with Warner as PR Executive. She resigned from the record company and now handles the GM post in Metadome.

KC Ismail, a fellow blogger but yeah , he is better known in the industry as ex-radio deejay and currently works in Metadome as well. A great combination in a such wokhaholic team overall. I met KC ISmail in Nidji gig 2 years back in Jakarta and since then , we still keep in touch. Click here to go to his block, KC Ismail.

Talking about Anggun, she makes Indonesian proud of her by venturing into international market. I hope you still remember the first ever English written song , Snow On The Sahara. With her husky unique voice and elegant demeanour and yet exotic complexion, she sets the bar high for other Asian singer wannabe.

She is in town for a week with many tentatives designed for her, mainly to promote her new English album, ELEVATION . She will throw a showcase this coming Friday with opening acts of Nurul and Imran Ajmain.. Again , i am invited..yaay ! ha ha

When Your Life Journey Worth Millions...

Something felt deep inside after watching this inspiring movie by the famous director Danny Boyle.. I did watch 2 movies in a run on last weekend but Slumdog Millionaire was superior than the other by FAR !! The story plot, the progress , the elements and everything about this movie was almost perfect that left me wondering how lucky some people are nowadays.

In a background of a slum area, the so-called `The Three Muskeeters' were raised up, living their life no better than a rollercoaster ride, trying their best to come out from their agony in life. How every single questions asked in the stardom of becoming a millionaire and the relations in his suffocating life were simply phenomenal.

It was totally different from the mediocre Bollywood films because this story per se was incredible by its own and the recipe of putting up all the required elements in a good movie was a blast. Horse Riding In Langkawi

Have you ever try to ride a horse and go for galloping ? This would probably be my pioneer attempt and it turned to be a joyful ride. Courtesy from my good friend, 7 of us had this memorable experience of riding horses in Langkawi recently.

The helmets needed to protect you from any bad circumstances. Extra-vigilant if you are a novice.

One thing i learnt from the one hour ride is that you need to boost your self-confidence because horses have their inner senses that they become wilder if the rider lack of it.

Along the beaches.. This pic is courtesy from Wahaza X tra (another famous blogger) who just owned a new Olympus DSLR. I had a 27 years old horse named SIFU... and he is extremely well-trained and well-mannered through out. What a wonderful experience and hopefully i can return for more..

I had attended this cardiology meeting in Langkawi last weekend... it was damn good to return to this myth and legend of this island. Awesome speakers line-up, 20 of my other working colleagues and few good friends who came along as well.

Do we look like cardiologist in the making ?? ha ha that is our dream and our need to pass every obstacles to make it come true. Anuar and Asri has been very supportive since we have the same dream..

Stroll along the pristine beaches and breathe the fresh air is the best thing i can do now. A relief from huge burden of work..

Eating Laksa Sarawak at Asri's last weekend was actually a kind invitation that he and his beloved wife forwarded to me. Thanks Asri... This is how Laksa Sarawak look like and it is slightly different from our own nothern state laksa which sometimes eel being used as the main ingredient. As usual, i ate 3 bowls of this laksa...ha ha ha

I have known Asri for almost 12 years now since we started knowing each other as roomates during our matriculation in Bangi at that time and yeah we pursued our medical career and both of us are inspired to become future cardiologists... I think by now , everyone reading my blog would label me as anti Malaysian music because i prone to Indonesian influence. The fact that they produce better music and freshier than ours...sorry ! Rio Febrian is one of the male Indonesian vocalist that i admire his singing style.

Thanks to Syed M. for getting me this 2006 album from Rio Febrian during his visit to Jakarta recently. His ballads are almost perfect and very soothing to my eardrum. Very very nice !

Teater muzikal Puteri Gunung Ledang beronakan Kedaultan Melaka sememangnya epik legenda dalam kamus sejarah negara. Pementasan dari Enfiniti group dari Datin Seri Tiara sememangkan semakin bertenaga dari versi pertama dan keduannya dulu. Sebab tu, tiket mahal pun masih mampu SOLD OUT.

7 of us pergi tengok hari tu ... Wahaza, Nizam, Chris Ling , Nandang, Stephan dan Pojie (Fauziah) dan termasuklah saya.. Marcus tak dapat join at the end.. rugi satu tiket.

Banyak improvement dari segi props. Nyanyian Stephen Rahman begitu bertenaga sehingga rasanya vokal dia menenggelamkan vokal pelakon lain. Kalau lah Dato' Siti yang turut hadir malam tu (dekat sangat dengan kita org) menjadi watak utama tentu paduan suara mereka lebih serasi. Satu lagi , nampaknya Bayan terlalu muscular pulak...ha ha. Yang lain cukup menghiburkan. Banyak jugak kelibat doktor doktor pakar HUKM yang tengok hari tu dan jugak selebriti seperti Sean Ghazi, Liza Hanim, Afdlin Shauki selain Dato' Siti dan Dato' K

Anyone loves cupcakes ?? Owing to their high calorie content, i usually have to limit them. A colleague of mine , together with his wife and two kids are really into making cupcakes. It helps to stimulate one creativity to place different style of decoration on top of the cupcakes. Their cupcakes i have to admit is getting better and better from day to day.

A Reversed Aging Process.... Anyone ??

An oppurtunity to watch this peculiar story about a reversed ageing process made me ponder what if i am given that option besides the normal sequalae of life. It is unexceptional to be born with kid's intelligent and 70 years old figure and then ,as life goes on, your version are becoming younger with more radiant look but mentally deteriorating. When it comes to love and family, that order brings such emotions that sometimes we can hardly even bear.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is simply an amazing story that glued me to the cinema seat for the 3 hours show. Cate Blanchett is the main actor as usual did an awesome acting performance in this movie. The setback of New Orleans old town showcased picture perfect scenaries.

Thumbs up for the movie. Emotionally- touched and beautifully -narrated, it is worth your money for this one. Go and watch it..A MUST !!

I am so addicted to Starbuck these few months and of course, owing to my definite obsession about getting lean and ripped, i usually order it without the cream. Apart from being a perfect place to meet your good friends and chit-chat about life and some serious stuff, they provide the hassle free wireless internet as well as the electric plug... Uuuuuu...again the brand supports the criminal in Palestine...i have to reduce the number of visit by now....

CNY In Baba And Nyonya Style In The Historical Malacca Town

I was planning to go to Pangkor Island for some beach escapade and total rejuvenation during this Chinese New Year...but at last i cancelled it and with my friend , i headed my way to the historical city of Malacca where the the Baba and Nyonya population come from. They speak fluent Bahasa and the customes are the blend of chinese and Malays. Gosh.... it has been nearly 10 years since my last visit here. Beautiful CNY decoration all over the city main areas made my mood for CNY blossoming .

All the pics were taken by my compact camera as my stolen DSLR is not yet replaced by the new D90 (need to book for that model..errrr).

Would You Sabotage Your Own Good Friend ??

I managed to catch 3 movies last week namely Inkheart, Underworld : The Rise Of The Lycans and last but not least Bride Wars. I had a good laugh while watching the weekend sneak preview of Bride Wars starring the petite Kate Hudson and the elegant demeanour Anne Hathaway. Basically it is a story of two childhood friends who are raised with special bond . Things become complicated soon after they realized that they are going to get married on the same date, same bunch of friends as the guests, same wedding planner and the same place !!!

They tried to sabotage each other wedding plans and eventually they discovered that they had ruined their long-lasting friendship just to prove that each one is superior than another. Hilarious story and it is good if you come to the cinema with your good friends' company and laugh it out together..

Certainly...i value the term friendship and to accomodate and understand each other is the key factor for an everlasting one. I will not sabotage them for sure...

Klang Seafood

It is time to write about "makan-makan " place again. This is actually from my old photo collection i 've never posted here before. It was during my birthday last October that me and my old good friend paved our way to the Klang district to dine at this open-air seafood restaurant. Thanks to the one i would not mention here for celebrating my birthday in a very delicious dinner treat. I appreciated it very very much. Thanks for the present too. I heard the phrase " Nobody pays for their birthday celebration " ..is it ??

We did some selection of seafood and asked them to cook the raw materials as we liked them to be. We had a medium-sized fish.

I could not really smile with a full stomach.. well at least the long journey helped to reduce my bloated stomach.. ha ha ..

My Confession : Cinta Itu Indah !

It was where in Langkawi trip with other fellow bloggers , i found out about this huge symbol rock, written beautifully in Chinese. The exact translation can be seen on the second picture. The title of this entry is actually derived from 2 songs sung by Afgan, the Indonesian lad with extraordinary vocal performance. My Confession is the last track from the album and Cinta Itu Indah is track No. 6 on his debut album.

I have realized that the word LOVE has a very strong meaning indeed and it differs so much in between " I LOVE YOU " and " I LIKE YOU " which some people used them interchangeably. I ponder around. Sigh.... Life is so complicated.. Sometimes , you love a person, but the person doesn't love u, you don't love a person, but the person is mad about u... sometimes love is in the air for both, but nothing come true with a lot of issues.... It is fair ? No ? I guess we just have to leave it to the perfect time and fate.....course only time will tell.... Just chill and be happy with the way things are .

Restoran ni diusahakan oleh Nasir, kawan kepada Hamdi sebenarnya. Terletak di puncak dekat pintu gerbang ke Datai Bay (yeah, kawasan orang orang kaya tu) cukup unik dan ada style...sesuai dengan tajuk blog ni..ha ha. Tapi harga makanan di sini cukup berpatutan dan sebab tuan punya tahu kita orang bloggers...dia kasi lagi 10 % diskaun.. 7 orang makan kenyang gila adalah dalam RM 50...dipuncak yang terpencil cam tu..mana mau dapat !!

I hope it is not too late to wish everyone Merry X Mas especially to my friends who are celebrating it. I managed to catch this play in KLPAC on the last 23rd December which is narrated from Charles Dicken's book.... Christmas Carol. It is directed by one of my good friend, Christopher Ling who has given so much effort to come up with an awesome show . The casts and crews did a superb job as well.

The story is about the stingy Mr. Scrooge and the reflections of his past, present and the future with characters surrounding him. A sold-out show with magnificent casts/crews... yeah this play is far above your expectation ! Well Done !

Dinner At Pinky's

We have planned for the trip to my hometown ie Kangar, Changlun (Pinky's) and Langkawi few months back involving 7 bloggers and photograhers and it is all Pinky's idea of getting us together. I gave some opinion as co-organiser since it is my homwtown involved.. That arrival night, we had a great dinner at Pinky's.. Thanks to her mum who cooked delicious kampung style food..

Syabas to HUKM docs and nurses

I WRITE to share my experience and offer a big thanks to the doctors and nurses of Hospital Uni–versiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM) in Cheras.
I had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. At the emergency centre I was immediately attended to by Dr Sharifudin, Dr Azhana and their team who did a very professional job.
I was sent to the CCU ward and was taken care of by Dr Azura, Dr Masliza and their team of nurses until I was able to be sent to the CRW ward to recover.
There I was attended to by another caring team – Dr Ting, Syukur, Ika Faizura, Faizan and Lee, and nurses. Dr Ting and Dr Syukur did an angiogram and found a block in my left coronary artery.
Dr Ting did an angioplasty and I now have a stent.
I have recovered tremendously due to the hard work and professionalism of all the doctors and nurses of HUKM.
Keep up the good work. Be the best and beat the rest, Syabas again HUKM.

Lama jugak tak tulis dalam Bahasa Melayu.. Ok lah istimewanya AidilAdha berbanding raya puasa adalah memahami erti sebuah pengorbanan dalam kehidupan kita sehari hari. Tambah meriah laungan takbir dibolehkan selama tiga hari lamanya. Yup ...pagi lagi my mum dah call .. kena berleter sebab raya sorang sorang kat KL.. Dulu dah explain memang tak dapat balik sebab wad allocation yang menyebabkan sorang aje dan time macam ni memang susah nak minta orang lain cover, tambahan pulak raya tu jatuh Isnin.. Itulah nasib badan.. dah la raya puasa dulu pun on call malam raya ! Apa nak buat ? Lepas kena berleter, dia tanya jugak lastly daging tu nak masak apa untuk dikirimkan thru my sister yang dah kat kampung ..camtu prihatin si ibu ! Thanks mum for your understanding

Nasib Dr Shah jemput ke rumah bapanya, untuk meraikan raya haji ni...Wahaza yang keretanya accident pun tak dapat balik dan Hamdi yang stuck dengan presentation dia on Tuesday..Pengorbanan kan.. Shah pulak on call malam raya..Patutnya Saharil Conteng pun ikut sekali ..tp ..mmm landslide kot ! ha ha

They are both talented and young..placing as the ultimate winner and 1st runner-up for last year American Idol, US most popular reality singing competition. Yeah...finally their debut offerings in music industry came to our record stores.

David Archuleta with his self-titled album is the new pop sensation. The first single "CRUSH" is simply soothing to hear . Nevertheless, at some point , i think his vocal isn't equally good in an album as compared to his live performance.. Yeah he is better than that vocally.

I always fancy the rock stream by David Cook.... Did you remember when he sing his own version of Mariah Carey's Always Be My Baby on the show.... i never knew that such girlie song could turn to a more manly sound..ha ha ..Bravo !

When this 2 Davids collide in music industry,,, i personally think they shared equal amount of fans and they are equally good.

Day by day, new cardiologists being born to accomodate the task to treat people who care less about their own health.. yeah from smoking, lack of exercise, high cholestrol diet, eating too much sugar and salt. This what happened if you are not being vigilant enough about your own lifestyle.... blocked coronary arteries leading to a massive heart attack ! Picture below taken from my own patient angiogram which i did myself with supervision from my consultant.. half of the distal right coronary artery was gone...and yet the patient is still survived...

We just opened our new cath lab (angiogram) with this new machine and eqiupment which is more user-friendly and multi-functional. Amazing!! and i begin to love operating with this TOY....ha ha

The radiation involved in the procedure..safety precautions needed !!

The catheters used from various sizes and brands..

The contrast used .... try using it as minimal as we can as long as good pictures captured for proper interpretation in our final report.

This group of Japanese team comes to our centre once in one or two months to perform conjoint difficult cases of angiogram especially the CTO's (complete total occlusion) and they are very friendly and established world standard.

Me ....as aspiring future cardiologist..ha ha..insyaAllah ..in the making...please pray for me...

My aim is to be a good one with the most fit and best body...ha ha... can ahhh ?? at least good example for the patient laaaaa... he he he... See ya.... It costs RM 300 to 600 for an angiogram in our centre while a deposit of rm 5,000 required for expected proceed angioplasty cases (the total amount depends on how many stents and balloons used and wether you are a government servant or not) ....whoaaa..that costly rite ?? SO LOVE YOUR HEART..do not damage it easily...ciao !

Angkor Watt And Time Off From Blogging For A While..

I have just came back from the Cambodian Trip to Siam Reap on last Monday..Yup physically, mentally and emotionally a bit tired..I don't really know why because a trip supposed to be a rejuvenation one for me... maybe the weather of alternating hot, humid and rain and muddy flood made this one a tough one..ha ha. Bringing with you a rain coat or a poncho willl certainly help a lot. Angkor Watt and Angkor Thom are simply amazing. I got a chance to be at the front deck of a boat along the floating village of Tonle Sap river whereby one would photograph countless good beautiful photos for their own sweet memories of this place. And please be there near sunset time because it is sooooo breath-taking at that time.

They accepted both Real Cambodian and USD for trading here.. but the people prefers USD than their own local currency. They want dollar and keep on screaming one dollar only, 2 dollar only !!!!ha ha.. can't forget that..ha ha

I did post all pictures collection in my Facebook ....lot of them actually...and kindly add me there if you want to review all the pics.

To my avid readers, i need to take time off from blogging world for nearly a month (minimum) and hopefully i ll come back soon. I apologize for that but to friends, blogger friends and everyone out there who know my number or e-mail ..do keep in touch and i will still be active in my Facebook account. Buzz me there !!

WHY ??? Mmmm i guess it is time for me to focus on things i need to do for the time being...work has been abundant. And partly, because i need to spend time doing things like reading more, teaching my medical students under my care more( overjoyed that all my previous students passed their exam with flying colours!!! need to keep that good reputation..ha ha ha), spending my quality time at home more, training one of my friend for weight reduction at the gym, and so many other things that i render important now.. Blogging is important too but yeah...i am pretty empty of words right now with jammed ideas...I need to come back later with more motivating entries and hopefully i can inspire everyone out there...i have to analyze back because sometimes, people thought my life was great, has awesome job , nice "makan " activities and a very inspirational to others, but what IF some of it truly was a complete failure for me myself. A Short Break to A Magnificent Spot...

I will be leaving KL for a short while on early Thursday to take a break from work to this magnificent well-known tourist spot in the land of Cambodia ; The Angkor Watt. Yeah,,no blog updates, no activities on Facebook and i will not answer any call except the urgent ones or important people. I am longing and waiting for this wondeful escapade and it is a way to treat myself for my 31st birthday about a week ago. I hope this trip will somehow rejuvenate my complex mind right now. Yeah .. everyone needs a break !! So do I..Wish me a safe return journey ! See ya when i am back ..

I may confuse all of you again with some of the medical terms in this entry but don't worry , i will make easy for you to understand....yeah and this entry is not about makan makan but an entry which requires skill and your experienced interpretation.

You probably read our Dr. Shah's blog regarding his Exercise Stress Test (EST) which requires one to walk in different stages and the ECG tracings will then show wether the test renders a positive or negative outcome. Similarly, DSE (Dobutamine) stress ECHO is a functional study whereby we resort it to people who has inconclusive EST or patients who basically cannot run for example they have knee problems or neurological problems and etc. Dobutamine infusion helps to increase your heart rate to mimic the exercise actually..and even we inject bolus of Atropine if the target heart rate is not achieved. In addition, during the test, we observe the ECG tracings and the Echocardiography (Heart Ultrasound) to see any wall proportionate augmentation. We need to take heart moving pictures during baseline, low dose, peak dose and resting/ recovery period and it usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes per patient. My interpretation has to be certified by my consultant first before i report it on paper.

DSE helps to diagnose/suggest coronary artery disease (yeah..angiogram still a golden method), viability study before deciding bypass is a good option in severe heart disease with poor heart contractily or either a vessel has added benefit for angioplasty (coronary stenting)

Talking about sub-cardiology specialties : we branch into ; EPS study , cardio imaging (eg . cardiac MRI, MSCT), Peripherals, non-interventional, heart failure and etc.... And insyaAllah...my interest will be in heart failure therapy whereby one has to deal with chronic heart failure management, ICD's, heart and lung transplant options ...etc ..and i think this field is very challenging and i love challenge but yeah..it is a long long way to go...

Officially 31....I Am Getting Older...And Then What ?

Yeah.. i am officially turn to 31 today. I always wish people with same stamp " a year older, a lot wiser" and i guess this i have to reflect this words to myself. Reminiscing back what i've done ,the achievements, the downfall and the successful stories really motivate me in welcoming my 31st with an open arm. It is time for me to think seriously about my future undertakings, my career and the path that i opt myself to be in. It scares me too as i have my list of dreams that i have to realize at least before i reach my 40. I hope that time i will reach my life destiny and be at my pinnacle of success.

I hope i changed for a BETTER person... Yeah 23 rd October is actually a transition between Libra and Scorpio horoscope...but i guess i am more f a Libran...he he

My friends said I have been gaining weight lately...arrrrrgghhh.. yeah... this probably because too much of makan makan activities....Nevertheless, an invitation from a good friend of mine to this place is simply unforgettable. Flying Chillies ....Simply Thailicious is a Thai restaurant that you have to visit next on your list . Located in The Gardens Midvalley, it serves the authentic taste of Thai's best dishes that really suit well with my taste buds.

Both of us really love this place. With my NIKON DSLR and our chat about food , everyone around might be mistaken US as food critics........... that helped to speed up our order in a way...he he he. We ordered food enough for 4 people to eat and we did "tarfan" more rice..he he he.. The green curry is simply hot !!!!!!

Seafood Tomyam...Thai style was simply amazing !!

The spring roll..... yummy !!

Chicken Pandan !!! awwwwww... delicious baby !!!

We have this for our dessert.... sweet and very seductive taste !!!

Even my drink was GOOD !!!!

The place with white concept and clean environment was really my favourite element to visit here once again...I gave good credit to this restaurant management for the awesome food... well ..i think it is more superior than the Bangkok House in terms of food taste, price and the ambience... Try visit this place and sawadikap to the food... A recommended place !!!

To my good friend... thanks for " belanja " me that night and hopefully we can search other great dining places in the near future....yeah after you are back from Europe.

Experimenting On The Starbuck Cup

Experimenting on the Starbuck Cup !!! Yeah.. sometimes you don't really need spectacular objects to capture beautiful pictures. You just need the right ANGLE, FRAME and EXPOSURE !! That was what i concluded after a photography discussion with a fellow friend who has magical touch and superb pictures in his photography work on last weekend ..

We hung out in this Pavillion Starbucks and started experimenting on the cups..ha ha

Raya Visit At Budi's In Kajang

Budi menjemput aku hari tu ke rumah dia di Kajang ... acara makan makan dengan seluruh adik adik dia serta teman teman rapat.. ye la terasa pulak aku as part of their family.. Bokhari dan Bakti Jawi , adik dia dah pun masing masing datang dengan pasangan masing-masing.. Kajang dengan Cheras tak jauh pun tambah lagi jemputan dari sahabat yang dari zaman sekolah lagi sampai sekarang tak boleh aku katakan tidak!!

Jumpa dengan Jeff, yang juga orang Perlis...orang Padang Katong..waaa banyak juga orang Perlis yang dah membina nama di KL ni...Bangga aku !

Bunga Citra Lestari vs Christian Bautista

Lama jugak tak buat entry pasal lagu... he he gempak tak cara CD piring hitam ni di ambil... Kita akan ulas 2 album ni.. One is an Indonesia petite lady and one is Philiphines handsome lad. Yup Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL) vs. Christian Bautista. Album BCL ni baru sementara album Christian ni dah lama... baru terjumpa balik dalam koleksi album yang dimiliki.

With regards to BCL new album ..mmmm .. i prefer the previous one because this album lack of musical intensity and the song choice is not suited well with BCL vocal. Yeah ..you have Dewiq and Andi Rianto as the composers but somehow it failed to impress me and to give me a WOW !! factor. The duet with Ari Lasso is probably the measure to save the album ... Marketing strategy ! No doubt BCL has unique vocal performance in an album and she is a popular artist in that neighbouring country apart from her controversy with Ashraff Sinclair that created a stir in entertainment scene.

Eventhough Christian doesn't have the vocals of Hazami or Anuar Zain as for comparison but what i like about his voice, he sings with the heart..yup not too much high-pitch thing, vibrato or falsetto....this model turn singer delivers the songs very well... I bought this album in Jakarta and you definitely dream to get it here in KL. Again, lots of love songs and i love this track very much...2ND song of the album (you can click on the song in my blog and take a listen). He has other few albums in Philiphines which i am dying to get... anyone going to Manila soon ????? Can kirim meh ???

For DERMARIAN Gathering .....November ????

DERMARIAN......... If you are talking about the most prestigous non-boarding school in Perlis, the Perlisian will definitely answer ...it is SEK. MEN . DERMA.!!..and the graduates are called The Dermarian...yup we have our own Facebook group that entirely re-united us again !! Facebook has done wonders....After coming back from my boss raya open house, I went to meet 2 of my old schoolmates...Mr Budie and Marzikmal aka Genok . I met Budiman few times and this is the first time, i met Genok again ! It brings back the school memories. Our unity kept the school at its own CLASS !! That spirit really inspired everyone of us ...

We gathered in Hajris Bistro and later to Sri Melati Restaurant in Cheras for a specific reason..yeah to reunite all DERMARIAN from the SPM 94/95 group in a get-together reunion. We changed , we have our own careers and we live in the metro KL, some maybe spoilt.. he he but our hearts are still strong towards DERMA.... Some might be your old enemies but we plan to come together , forget the past and for the good name of our beloved school , a reunion will take place somewhere in November 2008.. InsyaAllah...

Me and Genok.......Genok and me, were in the same class of 5 Arif ....been the back-benchers in the class and always laughed out loud if anyone made jokes !! Genok was impressed by my 31 inch waistline and well-defined biceps..... he he

Budi's wife, Zavina joined us later after coming back from the gym. She will help in organising the event as well... Thanks Zavina ! You are very supportive.

I ordered this Kiwi juice only as my stomach was still full but the Budi's Mee Sup was sooo tempting that i could not resist to try a bit... ha ha

My Boss Raya Open House

It was Friday yesterday and while heading our way to my boss, Prof Oteh house for his Raya Open House, the traffic along MRR2 was expected to be this massive . We took off from HUKM at 6 pm , hoping that we reached his house before 7 pm and thanks to Anuar skills , we managed to be there on time..ha ha.. definitely Anuar isn't a reckless driver..

I changed to my Baju Melayu Johor . Anuar did not have ample time to go back and change. Maz was in complete yellow and Prof in his satin white baju melayu...

Prof and his family prepared all the food by themselves..wow..amazing... so to my colleagues who did not go...you had missed the self-cooked delicious ayam tandoori, nasi dagang, nasi beriyani, kuah kacang, ketupat and lemang and all the cookies... And i had eaten 3 plates in total..aarrrrgghhh

Osama, our Libyan colleague tried his Baju Melayu..mmm..you looked nice and Beni was still in his working attire...(hai ! tak panas ker pakai tie merah tu bang !!!) We met few lecturers from USIM (Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia), a new university and they offered to join the university which currently based in Ampang Hospital and Temerloh Hospital. They offer sounded very interesting and i loved to think about it seriously into joining the USIM faculty.

My colleagues : Dr Nik, Dr Darinah and Dr. Wan Ros were also there. They came in a car pool.

Foods were plenty and i tried almost everything... Can you imagine how many kilometres i have to spend on the treadmill to burn back the calories ???? arrrrrgghhh..

WALAUPUN DAH BESAR ..HE HE HARI TU PROF KASI LAGI DUIT RAYA.... BESTNYER !!! Ha aha ha....Thanks Prof !

Gambar ni aku snap waktu pagi....dari anjung beranda rumah di Kangar....Indah sangat panorama alam waktu tu... Cuti Raya selalunya membongkang lagi lepas bersujud di subuh hari..tetapi menyaksikan panorama pagi ni membuatkan aku rasa kerdil sangat. ... Entahlah !! Kadang kadang hidup tak semestinya indah belaka...penuh onak dan segala macam pancaroba..

Harapnya cahaya Aidilfitri kali ni terus menyuluh hidup aku ke satu ketentuan dan ke satu titik bahagia yang sewajarnya semua orang HARUS miliki !! Amin...

My Raya.... Saat Bersama Famili...

Eid Fitri.. to everyone ! Yeah... I reached home on the Raya night after driving for 6 hours . I maintained the car speed at 130 km/h as i was very eager to reach home as soon as possible. After finishing my call and passing over to my colleague..i went back home with initial plan to take a nap but it turned out that my eyes did not even close...ha ha..that was Raya spirit !

I headed to Anuar's house in Bandar Utama as we were going back together to our hometown...the small town called Kangar...yup we hailed from this tiny little town and of course i ate this nice cheese cake and ketupat at Anuar's place. Yummy... His wife and daughters did not follow him back as his wife was preparing for her exam in November and Anuar had something to settle back home. I was lucky as Anuar could take over as driver if my eyes suddenly became ptosis....ha ha

I could not stop myself from snapping the beautiful fish pond in Anuar's place...

I managed to get home at around 8 pm...haaaaa home sweet home..Nothing can replace this perfect getaway..I love this decors at my home....don't know why !!

Our sofa at home became my object of photo experiment too.. and my mum was puzzled to see me clicking away to my new hobby ......ha ha ha

My mum kept a tradition of having this event of "bakar sate" either on the 1st or 2nd raya night. It was the best time according to my mum that we gathered together in a big family....My mum is the eldest among her siblings and i guess it is her responsibility to do so to strengthen the family value..

Me and my cousins sat together and exchanged our progress in life...ha ha

And my nieces ans nephews were busy playing the fireworks.... courtesy of my sister..

PICK N ' BREW IN ONE UTAMA

It was worth remembered to have a Buka puasa with my fellow colleagues and friends considering that it will probably my last buka puasa with them. Initially 7 of us agreed to come and enjoy the fun, but due to personal matters, only ME, Asri, Hamdi and Ben did make it . Anuar did not join but he called to inform regarding the difficult parking space in One Utama that day, where this " makan-makan" place is situated. Ben drove his Chevy and we reached there around 6.30 pm,,,just nice before the buka puasa.. So here it is :PICK n' BREW ... They served Ramadhan Buffet as for RM 41 per pax including the tax. Pretty affordable and the place is very nice for a hang out and the service is quick !

I love the signature label on the glass . Beautiful !

Wow..... Roti Jala !!! And the curry tasted very Malaysian.....

The place is highly recommeded for family and friends dining..... nice place !

Just a part of my favourite evergreen Hari Raya songs. For the last 10 days of the holy Ramadhan, most radio stations will keep on spinning the Raya songs on air. Everyone has their own favourite songs and some prefer the fast numbers to best potray this occasion while some are more towards the slow and sad numbers like some songs dedicated for the late loved one.

This picture was taken last year Aidilfitri open house with Mila AF..aaaa. She sent me message that she loved the pic very much. I tagged her in FB.. thanks Mila.. i am your FAN... I love Baju Melayu JOHOR style like the one here .. yeah eventhough i am originally from the other end of peninsular Malaysia .. he he just because Johor style Baju Melayus are more breezy to wear and the sampin looks nicer from inside.

Iftar di Sime Darby Convention Centre

Have you all been to this place ?? Located in Bukit Kiara KL, there is a place called Sime Darby Convention Centre where I supposed to meet my two trusted friends ; Ekin and Zuridah . Yup they are bloggers too but i knew them almost 4 years now and i value the friendship very much. Presumably if not because our pop darling, Dato' Siti Nurhaliza mega-concert in Royal Albert Hall London , we may not know each other. We had attended and been part of that blast !! Talking back about the Iftar we had in Sime Darby Convention Centre (SDCC) , the location is easily accesible , near INTAN in Bukit Kiara. Wow ... I accidentally met Tan Sri Yahya there with Datin Sri Suraiya and talked to Tan Sri for a short while.. I met this two medical experts before in day to day clinical practice.. Tan Sri is an established cardiothoracix surgeon who operated the coronary bypass of Tun Mahathir Mohammad. I replied SOON to Tan Sri when he questioned me when i am going to come out as full physician.

Kembara makan makan di bulan Ramadhan ni diteruskan juga....malas nak pergi keluar Bazaar Ramadhan untuk beli juadah, so teringat dekat Ben yang berjanji nak keluar buka puasa sekali. Ben is 2 years my junior dalam Jabatan Perubatan HUKM ini. Tapi umur dia lebih setahun dari aku. Visit his DrFrappuchino blog yang penuh dengan keluhan seorang doktor.. he he he. Ha ha promo sikit blog kau...boleh ?? Ben is my gym buddy sejak dia join FF. Tapi bulan puasa ni, semangat dia ..ish ish MALAS !!! Merasa jugak naik Chevy kau !

Ampunkan gambar pertama yang blurrrrrr habis ni ! Sebab aku dalam gambar tu..jadi yang tukang ambilnya.. ntah sapa aku sambar tah !! Anyway, malam Jumaat lepas, sepasukan team Kardiologi HUKM buka puasa sama sama lagi... dibawakan oleh Boehringer... bertempat di San Francisco Steakhouse KLCC . Beza sikit dengan second gambar ni...padahal setting sama jer.

Sebab boleh bawa spouses dan anak-anak sekali dan maid jugak...so lebih meriah lahhh.. Bos pun hint supaya aku bawa teman istimewa... aku jadi puzzle sekejap....errrrr...he he. best jugak dapat outing macam ni .. menjadikan hubungan kerja tu lebih akrab ..kan ???

Panjangnya meja kami ..tu pun ada satu meja special untuk Prof Oteh sekeluarga. Aku dah kamcing dengan anak Dr. Faizan yang cute mute tu... eee geramnya uncle!!, anak Dr. Ika pulak bercakap tak habis habis.. in English u know !!! Few MO's tak dapat hadir sebab ada yang balik kampung. Semalam pun jumpa balik dengan Poh , Ai Ling, Tony, dan Angeline, Kelvin, Leong dan seorang lagi tu..aaa dah lupa pulak dari Astra Zeneca... dan yang bestnya all the bachelors gather at one side ... buka cerita lain...alamak kurang pahala puasa aku ... he he he.. IT WAS FUN !!!

It is an old song made popular by this teenage Indonesian talented singer, Miss Agnes Monica,, yeah the same one with her current hit Matahariku.. I don' even know what JERA really means but this melancholic soothing tune sounded really nice to my eardrum. Penned down by the humming producer, Melly Goeslow, Agnes added her powerful vocal to make this number worth remembered.

I am not sure wether JERA is an Indonesian word or practically can be used as Malay word as well. Try listen to the song and i probably can guess what it means...and i don;t want to be JERA.... he he he. The song is in my song section....Enjoy !

Checker's Cafe in Dorsett Regency is a good alternative for a "makan" visit this Ramadhan. Located along Imbi Road in Bukit Bintang area, it offers a very nice various selection of foods and live performance from resident artistes. It is difficult to get a booking at this place if you did not book few days prior but my Facebook friend, Jones Junaizi who is one of the performer there managed to get a table for me , Stefan and Hamdi. It was Stefan's birthday also on the last 16th, we decided to do a little bit of surprise for him. Thanks to Jones for the arrangement.

The decoration of the dining hall was great. The food was rather usual but the best thing about eating here is the live show by the group of 5 entertainers namely Jones himself, the Jangan Ketawa popular comedian., Dee, Linda, Shai and the amazingly talented 10 years old Adik Putri who sounded like a PRO.. You should go and watch and listen to her performance. Even Stefan gave her multiple standing ovation. Adik Putri's voice was phenomenal !!! Trust me ! I have goosebumps when she belted out Beyonce slow number, LISTEN . Watch out for this young talent joining the reality TV singing contest later and she definitely going to win. I'll sms her vote..he he he. She reminded me of the younger version of Mila AF5. Well , Jones is a Perlisian tooo ...

I had to borrow Hamdi's laptop again on Sunday to create new links to my blog domain. Something wrong with my laptop where the error sign kept popping out once i tried to save the links. Ismardi from Kedah also arrived at the same time and they decided to watch this DVD owned by Azmin. I was about to go home after completing the task when i finally stuck myself with this story charm and glued to the TV monitor. Really nice one..Anyone has seen it ?? Steve Carrel and Juliet Binoche played their character well...very well in deed..

Back to the plot, Dan (Steve) met Marie (Juliet) in a bookstore on the way to his parents house. The fell for each other , in a glimpse.. and they made their way,hoping that they meet again sooner. They have their fingers crossed, but to Dan's amazement, Marie is his brother's new soulmate. They family gathering went well with both Dan and Marie faked their feelings and hide their love for each other.

I was thinking ; would you sacrifice for love if you know that the person you love is your own siblings or your good friends love interest ???? Damn it !! It is very hard to answer that !!! Either you lose the LOVE or you lose your own good people around you ...
